Jeremiah had been anointed as God's servant. And God continued to confirm His calling upon Jeremiah. In spite of being mocked by the people and preaching a message that convicted some and angered others, Jeremiah persevered. He didn't give up! He declared, "The Lord is with me." He didn't quit, further declaring, "My enemies shall not prosper." Jeremiah remained faithful to his calling, setting an example for us as we seek to serve the Lord.

Things like "in these uncertain times" or "the new normal," but let us cling to the hope that God is still God. Trials and tribulations are nothing new, and COVID-19 did not take Him by surprise. He has seen us through before, and we can depend on Him to continue to do so.

Instead, they offered him Jesus. We, as the Body of Christ, are able to share something with others that can't be bought or sold. Let us stay focused on our calling and make a difference for the Cause of Christ.

The disciples enjoyed a close fellowship with Christ, and they were grief stricken upon his death. However, they were afforded the opportunity to reconnect with Jesus and become encouraged and emboldened in their mission to serve Him as He would instruct through the Great Commission. Perhaps we take our relationship with Christ for granted sometimes. Let us worship and serve Him as enthusiastically as we did when we first met Him.
