We have sure missed seeing everyone, especially our youngsters.  Pastor Tim has an encouraging message today for the young people, and we hope you will gather the kids and take a listen.  

Beware of False Messengers and Messages

We live in an age in which we are bombarded with information, and even well-meaning Christians can be deceived by false teachers peddling messages that conflict with the Word of God.  Scripture encourages us to look at the source and the motivation behind it.  Is it about entitlement or sacrifice?  Does it talk about what we can get rather than what we can give?  Does the messenger promote liberty or captivity?  Let us approach these messages with discernment and heed the teachings of God.

Jesus First

In today's society, it is easy to fall into the trap of narcissism and idol worship, but today's #PSBC podcast reminds us that Jesus is to be first above all, including our own stature and possessions.  Nothing or no one is to take the place of Christ.

In the Shadow of the Almighty

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalms 91:1).  God is a refuge; He will not turn us away.  God is a fortress; In His presence there is safety.  We can always trust Him; He is faithful.  Take comfort today that God's got it!

The Importance of Prayer

This message, based on I Samuel 12, recounts how Samuel instructed the people to serve the Lord with all their heart and to consider the great things He had done.  God had answered many prayers.  He continues to answer prayers for us today.  Let us devote ourselves more to prayer and serve Him faithfully.

Joy Regained

God's Word tells us that David was man after God's own heart.  Yet we know that David sinned and failed the Lord.  In his misery, the king longed for the joy of his salvation, for the psalmist no longer had a song in his heart.  Sin robs believers of their close fellowship with the Lord.  Is there something you need to bring before the Lord today?  God wants us to confess our sins to Him and repent.  Just as the Lord forgave David, He offers forgiveness to us.  Let Him restore the joy of your salvation today.

A Place at the King's Table

Mephibosheth had suffered physically and emotionally from an early age, but all of that would change and he would be offered a new beginning.  Due to King David's desire to show kindness to anyone of the house of Saul for his friend Jonathan's sake, Mephibosheth found himself restored and blessed in ways he could have never envisioned.  He ate from the King's table and found favor with the most powerful man of the land.  The King of kings desires to restore and bless us, too.  Have you accepted your place at His table?

The Lord Reigns

In this podcast, Pastor Tim shares from the familiar text in Psalms 97:1-12, reminding us to take heart that our God reigns.  COVID-19, political turmoil and social ills do not take Him by surprise.  We can rely on Him for wisdom and understanding and take comfort that He judges in righteousness.  Rejoice today!  The Lord reigns!
