Strength for the Weary

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up with wings as eagles."  When we trust in the Lord, we eventually see that we can soar and not be deterred by weariness.  The verses also remind us that we can continually move forward, even if our run becomes a walk.  Be emboldened by these verses as you continue on your spiritual journey.

Celebrate Deliverance

Having crossed the Red Sea and escaped Pharaoh's army, Moses and the Children of Israel were no longer slaves in Egypt and subject to Pharaoh's oppression.  Having been delivered, the people erupted in great praise.  However, the people's praise was short-lived as they faced further adversities.  They focused on circumstances, but Moses focused on God.  In the midst of your own adversities and circumstances, where is your focus?  Do you celebrate deliverance?

A Testimony of Deliverance

We read in Psalms of how David waited patiently on the Lord.  In fact, God delivered David out of the pit, a dark place of his own doing, but the Lord cared and heard his cry for help.  David had a testimony and could declare that God had set his feet on the rock and put a new song in his mouth.  With gratitude, he praised God because of this experience.  Can you relate to David?  Do you share your testimony of deliverance?

We Are Waiting, But Also Living

One could argue that, with each passing day, Christians are one day closer to their reward.  Yes, we are all waiting for that day to come, but we should also be living:  living in the Word, living in unceasing prayer, living in love, living in peace and living in anticipation.  Let us awaken each day, not being willing to merely wait for Christ's return, but to live our lives fully and fruitfully for Christ.

The Power of the Tongue

We all can be guilty of saying things we regret.  Social media makes it easy to post things we might wish we'd never posted.  Saying "I'm sorry" or hitting the delete button don't always wipe the slate clean as easily as we'd like.  Pastor Tim's mid-week sermon reminds us that our tongues, the very words we speak, the things we communicate, can speak blessing or cursing.  Choose your words carefully.

When Faith Becomes Reality

If we dwell on the circumstances around us, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, discouraged and depressed, but one day we, as believers, we will come face to face with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We have hope and peace because of Him today.  Stay strong in the faith.  A better day is coming.

Mercy of the Father

We read in Psalms 6 how David had failed God and was vexed, knowing he was unworthy of redemption.  In his desperation, he cried out for mercy.  God was not only faithful to forgive David, He is faithful and willing to forgive us of our sins and shortcomings.  Approach the Lord with faith and humility and find peace and renewal today.

God Values Life

We are God's creation.  Life is so precious to Him that He gave His only Son that we might have eternal life.  If the breath of life is still in us, God still has a purpose for our lives.  Let us value, embrace and defend life so that His purposes might be fulfilled.

Walking in Love

Some walk in bitterness.  Some walk in worldliness.  Some walk in fear.  But God's people should walk in love.  Be encouraged  and challenged by today's podcast.  Make a difference in the world today by walking in love.

The Authority of Christ

In his earthly ministry, Christ became the ultimate fulfilment of the Law.  He ministered with power, because His power is an extension of the Father himself.  He taught with authority, speaking in truth, because His is truth.  Have you given Him authority over your life?  We can surrender to Him with confidence, knowing that His strength is perfect and His wisdom confounds the wise.
